Welcome to “In Praise of Thought!”

The name is derived from the collection of poems I published a few years ago, not because I can’t think of new and interesting titles, but because this one seems to encapsulate what the Substack is about so perfectly. (Also, can’t resist a continuity.)

I am a content writer, editor, and poet. You can expect essays on the intersection of literature, philosophy, technology, language, and culture, as my work has long been concerned with. I will publish my own poems here, too.

For now, I’ve decided that the bulk of my writing will be available for non-paying subscribers. Paid subscribers will be given privilege to further engage in the comments.

If this all sounds interesting to you, please subscribe!

As always, I appreciate all support, and remain stunned when anyone at all elects to read my writing. So with my whole chest, thank you.

  • …to get full access to the newsletter (you will receive an email in your inbox notifying you of every new post), as well as publication archives.

  • Paid subscribers have the most coveted of privileges, with full access to truly engage with my writing through the comment section. (A usually noxious space, perhaps behind a paywall a more civil place to debate, agree, disagree, fawn, etc.?)

  • If you prefer to read on your phone, download the Substack app here.

Lots of poems, mine and others. Lots of essays, mostly about literature, but also culture, politics, philosophy, and technology. And a more off-the-cuff, creative series, "Drift(s)," published each Friday.
